FERG.

I was born just north of Nashville, and now reside in Cincinnati, Ohio (great Cincy snow storm of 2025 pictured to the left). I’ve spent my life traveling to and working at renaissance fairs across the U.S, where I braid hair, among other things.

I spent a year teaching English in Japan, and in 2019 I sailed across the Atlantic on the world’s largest operational wooden tall ship. I have some other stories tucked away, but those two might be the most dramatic.

Now I write novels. Fiction has been the greatest joy of my life, always. Books, comics, movies, TV, animation (and music, though I’m not sure it strictly counts as fiction)- have all made me who I am, and pursuing the craft myself has been a lifelong dream and labor.

Though I never expect to find commercial success with my writing, perhaps a story of mine could mean something to someone somewhere, and that would be more than enough.
